Time to Read

Time to Read is the longest established mentoring programme; it started in 1999 with 15 volunteers from Northern Ireland Electricity who supported children in 5 Belfast primary schools. In the intervening 10 years, as Time to Read has been extended to schools across Northern Ireland, volunteers from a substantial number of companies have had a major impact on the progress of an increasing number of children—children like Shane and Daniel from St Mark's Primary School (pictured here with their Time to Read volunteer Gordon Harvey from Botanic Inns).
